Notre séjour à Canela Mountain a été parfait. C’est un hôtel créé par les propriétaires qui sont accueillants et attachants. Ils sont d’une bonne aide pour vous conseiller et orienter sur les activités de la région. Ce sont de vrais passionnés qui ont créé un lieu humain et magnifique.
La chambre était grande, un très bon lit, une magnifique décoration en bois. L’eau de la douche est chaude. Ils ont créé un sentier qui vous permet de relier la ville en 10min depuis l’hôtel. Les vues sont spectaculaires, le matin vous prenez un succulent petit déjeuner face à la vallée de Cocora. La nature est là, vous entendez les oiseaux chanter. L’hôtel Canela Mountain est un vrai havre de paix sur les hauteurs de Salento.
Ici, ce n’est pas un simple hôtel. Les propriétaires sont présents et font tout leur possible pour que vous vous sentiez à la maison.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien décorées, les matériaux sont nobles et beaucoup est fait directement par les hôtes. Le lit est très confortable et chaud avec de nombreuses couvertures. La douche a une eau chaude.
Le lieu a de magnifiques vues à la fois sur Salento et surtout sur la vallée de Cocora. C’est splendide !
Le petit déjeuner était très bon et fait maison avec arepas, fromage, café, thé, tout est incroyable. Merci pour ce séjour !

Hotel Canela run by Pat and Franco is a unique, familiar and fantastic place to stay in Salento. Finding the best place to stay is extremely complicated as there are many stunning option in the town, after a very long research trough google maps (as the Hotel was not yet on Booking or Airbnb), we choose it mainly for the GMaps review mentioning familiar environment, path to town (very important), STARLINK fast internet to work remotely, fresh and organic breakfast with local product and price value. The design truly represent a mix between historical and modern Colombian architecture, every piece is handmade with local wood and materials. Rooms are very comfortable, well designed and with the best mattress we ever slept on, it was also mentioned by past guest and was one of the reason we chose this Hotel Canela over other options. Location is definitely the best for your stay in Salento, the high position trough the hill give you a 360 view of all the magical Selva surrounding El Eje Cafetero. It's probably the only place close to the center that provide clear visibility of both the city and over the hill landscape.  What make the location unique is the beautiful path that was created to quickly walk from the top to the center of Salento, it's a stunning path between flowers and viewpoints and it's extremely agradable all day and night, particularly during sunset. The care and the familiar environment make this place exactly what travelling used to be years ahead, Pat and Franco exceed any expectation made us feeling home and part of the family, we felt like back 10 years ago what airbnb used to be a full local experience. The recommendation were also spot on, eating and Gata Carola, visiting Carbonera instead of Disneyland Cocora Valley, supporting small organic Finca de Cafe - Don Diego and bringing us to Jesus Martin coffee shop on the last day was the cherry on the cake.

Hotel Canela è il posto perfetto per stare a Salento, le stanze sono molto confortevoli e il servizio offerto da Pat e Franco è di altissimo livello. Ottimo per nomadi digitali grazie al servizio Starlink di internet e lo spazio per lavorare. La colazione è organica con prodotti locali ed un caffe fantastico degno dell'area. Il passaggio creato dall'hotel alla via principale è fantastico super curato e utilissimo per arrivare velocemente in centro Salento.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel tout juste ouvert près de Salento. On s’y sent comme à la maison. Les hôtes sont sincèrement attentifs au bien-être des personnes qu’ils accueillent, avec beaucoup de délicatesse et de générosité.

La vue à 360° est absolument incroyable, probablement l’une des plus belles de Salento. La décoration est faite avec beaucoup de goût, tout est soigné et harmonieux.

Le petit déjeuner est maison et délicieux, un vrai plus pour commencer la journée.

L’emplacement est idéal : les hôtes ont créé un petit sentier qui permet de rejoindre le centre de Salento en seulement 10 minutes à pied, tout en restant au calme et entouré de nature.

Viajamos desde Monterrey, México, a Salento buscando un hotel cerca del Valle del Cocora que tuviera una vista espectacular a la montaña… y definitivamente superó todas nuestras expectativas.

Desde antes de llegar, el servicio fue excelente. Nos ayudaron a coordinar el transporte desde el aeropuerto de Pereira hasta el hotel, y todo salió perfecto. Ese nivel de atención hizo la diferencia desde el inicio.

El hotel está ubicado en lo alto de una pequeña montaña, lo que le da una vista privilegiada, pero el acceso es sencillo y nada complicado. La ubicación es simplemente inmejorable: de un lado se aprecia el Valle del Cocora y las montañas, y del otro, una vista encantadora hacia el pueblo de Salento.

Es un hotel familiar, atendido por sus dueños, quienes son increíblemente amables y serviciales. Estuvieron siempre pendientes de cada detalle para que nuestra estancia fuera perfecta.

Las habitaciones son muy limpias y cómodas, con camas king size deliciosamente confortables y ropa de cama suave y calientita. La regadera tiene excelente presión y el agua sale bien caliente, algo que se agradece mucho después de un día de caminata.

El desayuno incluido estuvo delicioso: café, chocolate caliente, fruta fresca, huevos y unas arepas espectaculares. Además, el comedor y el patio tienen vistas hermosas, perfectas para desayunar con calma o simplemente sentarse a leer y relajarse.

Y como toque especial, tienen un encantador perrito Shih Tzu llamado Mechas, muy juguetón y cariñoso, que le da aún más calidez al lugar.

My husband and I are beyond happy that we chose this place. We love it so much here that we’re already considering plans to return.

The view is amazing all around the hotel. We work remotely and working outside on the terrace was so relaxing and pleasant. The room is lovely with lots of wood. It fits the surroundings very well. The bed, king size, is extremely comfortable and we got plenty of soft blankets to stay warm at night. It’s very cozy and we slept very well.

The hosts are so kind and helpful. They would always ask us if we need anything and do their best to make us feel very comfortable. They helped us with laundry, airport transfer, and offered us various foods and fruits to try. They own a lovely dog that is super cute, playful and ready to receive pets.

The walk from the hotel to the town is shorter than what you see on Google maps because they have a trail that goes through the garden. The trail is very nice, with various colorful flowers along the path. The area is very safe and we had no problem walking at night. Nuestra estadía en Canela Mountain Villa fue simplemente maravillosa.
El hotel tiene una ubicación espectacular, con una vista a Salento y otra a las montañas; en días despejados incluso se alcanza a ver el Nevado del Tolima. El entorno es profundamente tranquilo: se escucha el sonido del río, el canto de los pájaros y se respira una calma difícil de encontrar. A la vez, está a solo 10 minutos caminando del centro de Salento, por un sendero hermoso que los mismos propietarios han construido, lo que hace el recorrido aún más especial.
Los desayunos son deliciosos, con sabores tipicos con una mención especial para la arepa y la mantequilla casera. Las habitaciones son amplias y muy cómodas, con sábanas suaves, que parecen algodoncitos.
Las instalaciones son preciosas y cada detalle del hotel refleja cariño, dedicación y muy buen gusto. Pero sin duda, lo mejor es la atención: la calidez y amabilidad de Patricia, de Franco y de todo el equipo, que hacen que uno se sienta genuinamente bienvenido y cuidado.
Un lugar pensado con el corazón, ideal para descansar, recargar energía y disfrutar de la belleza del Eje Cafetero. Sin duda, un sitio al que volveremos. Gracias Ricardo y Diana

My wife and I (and her mom) stayed a couple of days here in early Jan 2026.  It had only been open 8 days at that time, but already it had a very completed feel to it.

The view was stunning on both sides.  One side looks out onto the full-width mountain view, and the other looks down on the town and plaza area.  If you want to feel close to nature, and/or get some practice with that fancy mirrorless camera that's been sitting in the closet for a few months, this is a great place for that.

Rooms are beautiful and well appointed.  The bedframes were large handmade wooden pieces, big enough to function as a bench sitting area at the foot of the bed.  Tables in the dining room were of the same style, as I'm sure many things around the property were, but as a man I tend not to notice such things as much as my wife would.  This place definitely had a feel to doing things right, even if that means you have to do it yourself.  Yet they pulled that off without losing the classy upscale overall feel.

The beds were very comfortable with memory foam mattresses, plenty of pillows and blankets.  The room got really cold over the sleeping hours, which surprised me when I got up briefly, because under the really nice blanket, the temp was perfect!

The shower head was one of those square rain-shower types and while the water pressure didn't knock me over, it was enough to give a good shower.  The heated water comes from natural gas and inline heated, so you should never run out of hot water mid-shower.  They also mentioned built-in filtering for the water, so no worries drinking from the taps.

I'm not native Colombian, so I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment on the food, but at breakfast there was plenty of fresh fruit and scrambled eggs with white cheese and arepa. The coffee was strong but good and I also had a couple of cups of the Lemoncillo tea and that was good too.

Pat and Franco are really sweet, and if you sit and talk with them, they never run out of stories and conversation.

Oh yeah, there is wifi, and even decent cell reception too.  I didn't test it out, but I even saw a Cat5 network connection in the room.

⭐✨❣️🇨🇴. Un lugar simplemente maravilloso en el corazón de Salento, Quindío.
🏡 Las vistas, el clima y el paisaje son espectaculares, perfectos para desconectarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza.
Lo más especial es que el hotel es atendido por sus propios dueños, quienes hacen que uno se sienta como en casa, en familia.
Cada rincón está lleno de pequeños detalles que convierten la estadía en una experiencia verdaderamente inolvidable. Sin duda, un lugar al que siempre dan ganas de volver una y otra vez.
